Hi Admin,  I am working on my new to me Ducati Monster 1100S with Continental M3C ECU.  Now I bought a I/O Terminal with the Motorcycle program for Ducati's with M3C.  The bike has a Termi Racing exhaust and ECU with 83IU1MOB program.  I bought a used standard ECU with 84IU1MIL program in order to make the bike street legal.  I have read both ECU's flash memory and got 256kB files that seem ok.  I also read the Eeprom memory but got 2kB files with only FF in complete file.  Same for both ECU's.  My hope is to find a way to make it work on my bike with immobilizer.  Do I need to virginize the Ecu?

If your goal is to make the new ECU work for your vehicle, then read the complete contents (flash + EEPROM) of the working ECU and write them to the new ECU.

You must therefore perform a complete backup; the two ECUs must be identical.

This way, your vehicle will work with both ECUs.

There is no need to remove the immobilizer code in this case.
