Ospite drv Inviato 31 Ottobre 2011 Inviato 31 Ottobre 2011 Hello, in first words I have to say that I do not speak Italian well, so i try to write in English, Sorry for that, I try to use very simple English to describe my problem. I Have a Fiat Brava 1.6 '99 with Magneti Marelli IAW 49F B6 and I would like to learn basics of chiptunning for my own use. I Bought a Galletto 1260 and I tried to read content of my ECU, but there is a problem: I read some materials and I found information about that ECU needs short circuit on pins to get into boot mode - read & write mode. Nowhere I can't find which pins i should short circuit and to what and what resistor i need to enable boot mode in that ECU. If someone has a breakdown of these pins I would be grateful if shares that information with me. Best regards from Poland. Ps. Also English dosn't my native languge, sorry for that. 1

Ospite drv Inviato 1 Novembre 2011 Inviato 1 Novembre 2011 Why it's no good? I ask because i don't want to damage that 29f010 at desolder from PCB. Solution with Galletto I think it's safer to me. In datasheet of 29f010 there is ~W pin, but there is description that he only accept 5V, not 12V. It's possible to activate it from outside cover of ECU? best regards

Remove flash EPROM, and read and write with willem or Wellon or beeprog or any interface that allow writing and read flash .... With flux desoldering the flash is fast and easy for my... use the airflow not over 380° for 5 seconds to not damage the components... 1

For test I can buy a second ECU but again 3 pin socket is safer to me. So if exist an option for do it, i would like to try it. Best Regards
